La Leche League meetings are open to all parents who are pregnant, breastfeeding or interested in breastfeeding. Nursing babies and toddlers are always welcome at La Leche League meetings. Each meeting focuses on a specific breastfeeding topic such as:
• The Importance of Breastfeeding
• The Family and the Breastfed Baby
• The Art of Breastfeeding and Overcoming Difficulties
• Nutrition, Starting Solids, and Weaning
In addition to discussion around a specific topic, everyone is invited to share their current breastfeeding issues and to seek information and encouragement from other attendees and the group Leaders. In addition, Leaders are available by phone and email to answer breastfeeding questions.

Why La Leche League?
- There will always be babies and parents who breastfeed and need the help of other parents who have breastfeeding experience and knowledge.
- In La Leche League, the art of breastfeeding comes before the clinical act of breastfeeding.
- Breastfeeding is empowering to women.
- Breastfeeding is the unselfish giving of one to another and the selfish act of knowing no one else can do what you do for your baby.
- The sisterhood of La Leche League is a special bond.
- Who else but another parent who has breastfed can truly understand how you can hate to get up in the middle of the night and love the reason for it at the same time?
- As more research points out the irreplaceable benefits of breastfeeding, the value of a mother's role, and the importance of a mother's consistent presence to a baby in the early years, La Leche League is becoming more and more relevant to the world.
- La Leche League brings together women (and their families) from many different cultures, backgrounds, economic strata, and intellectual levels and unites them in the common purpose and mission of promoting breastfeeding.
- La Leche League is baby-friendly, mother-friendly, family-friendly, community-friendly, eco-friendly, and a model for the ancient tradition of mother-to-mother support.
- What other breastfeeding support organization can celebrate over 65 years of service to mothers and babies?
